Really enjoyed my placement allowed me to put theory from my degree into real work place situations
It has given me direction into what career I want to pursue
It was enjoyable to get experience in the working world however I didnt feel that I was given the full opportunity to use all my knowledge in my fields
The job was highly reccomended and one of the hardest Interships to get The work I took part in made me feel valued and I could see my effect on buisness operations Add in the amazing social life of GE interns and its an unbeatable combination
At the start it was quite hard to get the hang of things but I kept learning on a daily basis and enjoying this incredible industry
The internship opportunity has given me the ability to gain experience in my chosen area I am able to complete real jobs rather than just make tea all day like other placements I have been on

I love my job every day is different and Im never bored even though its been a steep learning curve

I really enjoyed the risk placement at GE Money Home Lending I really got to know the different processes such as scorecards and delinquancy planning and there was a lot of scope do do differnt things within my role
Social environment with a lot of activities
Lack of managerial support through 7 months of my placement means my enjoyment was pretty low for those months Once I had a competent manager my enjoyment vastly increased
My role was incredibly interesting with the possibility of working with a variety of people at all levels of the business I had a wide variety of tasks and managed to get my hands onto all parts of the reserving process
I could not have been happier with my placement year I really enjoyed working within GE and would highly recommend a doing a placement year during your studies
Good work but unwelcoming office atmosphere
My placement year at GE was the best experience that I have had I was given a high level of work responsibility
