I was in the Support Office I was given a project and a lot of responsibility over the 8 weeks and through my project I was given the opportunity and encouraged to explore the company and network
I very much enjoyed my time in Tesco Working in IT infrastructure I had the opportunity to work on exciting large scale projects that had a meaningful impact on the company as a whole
Really enjoyed it Felt very welcomed by the team who were all very friendly Got to meet people from other areas of the buisness and see how they all link together Also got invited to many meetings and to meet suppliers
I was given my own project working as a financial analyst for their bakery project not only was my work useful to the company but I worked with great people along the way
Social aspect let it down slightly Not a single night out or social event organised centrally
Challenging most the time occasionally pretty dull
The internship was varied and really insightful Everyone was always willing to help you in your day to day tasks We were also given the opportunity to meet a huge amount of senior leaders and ask them various questions on a weekly basis

This was difficult at first as youre given completely freerein over a project which is actually pretty daunting given the size of the business As I got further in I got to my feet a bit better and started to really enjoy myself
