Overall the internship gave a really good insight into the responsibilities of the Bank I was allowed to have hands on experience as an employee from day one as I attended meetings seminars and produce work that the team used directly

All summer interns work on a project mine was interesting and I had a lot of choice in the direction it would take In many cases interns work will be used to guide future work by economists in the bank so it is satisfying to know your work is important
I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at the Bank The people have been extremely friendly and helpful and my role has been very interesting and exciting as it is at the heart of the financial markets and I can see the effects of my work in the news every day
I suffered a lack of variety in my work though it is important to note this was not the case for every intern it depends entirely on the projectrole to which you are allocated
The Bank of England run a 13 month placement and I still have 2 and a half months left but I have really enjoyed it so far I work in Monetary Analysis and where you are placed has a great impact on your experiences I expressed an interest for Monetar
