I thoroughly enjoyed my placement it gave me the insight I needed into a career as an actuary and I am now hoping to pursue a career in this area and I most definetly want to return to Mercer if I have the opportunity

I had a fantastic summer working at Mercer
Workwise was a good oppportunity to get some experience in finance and the issues surrounding investments Interesting work Very lacking on the social side compared to other offices
It was good althought at times a bit too monotonous for my liking
Extremely enjoyable not only have I learnt a tremendous amount about the investment industry but the entire team I have worked with have been very welcoming
I found the work varied and often challengingstimulating and was pleased to be able to gain exposure to a variety of multinational clients
Variety of interesting work
I learnt a lot of industry specific skills but also improved more general workbased skills A friendly atmosphere made it easy to do so
Excellent location to work as well as very friendly and helpful culture throughout the company
I was made to feel very welcome throughout the internship and was given lots of support with any jobs I had to do From the first day I was made to feel as one of the team and was given responsibility for the work I was given
The work was quite varied and interesting however with limited knowledge there were many things that I could not do and so I found myself on occasion with not much to do
Really enjoyed my placement with Mercer the work was challenging sometimes but this made it a lot more interesting
I have really enjoyed my time at Mercer as it is a really friendly environment to work in Also the work I have been doing has been challenging which has given me satisfaction on completion

When I was given lots of tasks to do and had a busy day I really enjoyed it However some days there was very little work I was able to do which left me feeling a bit useless
