I enjoyed that during this placement I was truly treated like an employee and not a coffee maker I was able to help in important work and get in so much training and development I was able to work with externals and lots of other teams internally I had
It was challenging interesting a unique work environment for a scientist and rewarding
A mix of some mundane tasks and some tasks with lots of responsibility not very much in between There was some scope for developing your own projects and other members of staff do really appreciate it when you put effort into work that will help them
A great experience especially in terms of responsibility given diversity of work provided and people I worked with
Excellent exposure to a broad range of engineering disciplines
I have very much enjoyed my time at British Sugar and it has given me a real insight into what it is like to work in industry I have met some great people who I have really enjoyed working with and I have had lots of great opportunities

Initially I felt that managers had little or no time to help me start project but after I fed this back to them I went out and did some pioneering research for the factory
So far its had its ups and downs but the amount of responsibility and support from colleagues along with the steep learning curve has made this a very rewarding experience
