I thoroughly enjoyed the Vacation Placement I had a fantastic two weeks I got involved with a variety of interesting work and met some great people both in the firm and also on the placement itself
The placement was 2 weeks long with a really balanced mix of training working in the office and social events
I was given a variety of tasks to complete from the inevitable photocopying and scanning to legal research looking at dispositions filing looking at contracts to building up maps I was never bored and always had plenty to do
A very positive experience overall
I really enjoyed my placement at Pinsent Masons Everyone was really friendly and made a big effort to explain what was going on to me even though they were really busy themselves
It was enjoyable and the time flew by due to various timetabled events We were well looked after by the firm who put on a number of social events for us
Everyone in the office was really friendly and helpful and I got to experience working in the Oil Gas team which I was very excited about as it is something I have wanted to do for quite a while
Enjoyed it a lot not as scary as commercial law firms can seem
The work itself was varied challenging and interesting It often required extensive research as well as learning to think in commercial terms
Everyone I encountered from support staff to Partner level were welcoming friendly and approachable
I thought it stuck a really good balance between work experience providing us with information about the traineeship and firm in general and giving us an insight into what it would be like to work there I think adding in the various social activities th
Two weeks was a good amount of time to get to know people in the firm but not quite long enough to get real experience

I thought the placement was an excellent insight into life as a commercial solicitor At points it was logistically tricky due to the merger and offices coming together
