Although some tasks were repetitive my supervisor always ensured that I fully understood why I was completing the tasks that I had been set This ensured that I had an excellent understanding of the background to most of the cases that the department is

Everyone was incredibly friendly including the other vac schemers which made it easy to enjoy the experience

I had such a wide variety of work from meeting clients and drafting formal documents It gave a real insight into the life of being a lawyer
The only reason I do not give full marks is because sometimes it WAS a struggle But I mean this in a good way as I feel like I grew to thrive off the time pressure and the volume of work I would have been bored if we hadnt been pushed too
All of the tasks were wellexplained and the people around the firm were friendly The legal work was at times dry but the placement overall was very enjoyable
I had great support from my colleagues and the HR staff It was a really fascinating three weeks although it was also quite exhausting I really enjoyed working with my colleagues who were all really brilliant and very kind
I was given a variety of work which was checked and feedback was always given
I was made to feel really welcome and comfortable with a good variety of work
I really enjoyed the scheme there was a comprehensive induction which was a nice way to begin rather than being thrown in at the deep end The workload was tough with a mix of departmental work and group work but this was good in that I was always kept
It was the most rewarding but certainly the most tiring three weeks of my life
Great balance between work and social activities I was able to meet a great deal of professionals within the firm at all levels of seniority
Loved my placement I felt comfortable in my department straight away Everyone made a supreme effort to give me work that was varied and interesting and also encouraged me to join in with all the department social events and meetings
Very well organised Everyone made us feel welcome from a welcome talk from Senior Partner to the secretaries who could answer my every question
I gained a fantastic insight into life as a trainee at a successful UK law firm
