Very interesting work so far 1 month into a 3 month placement assisting with a top level issue within my department
Coming from a computer systems background there is a lot to learn about the real world aspects of manufacturing Its been very interesting and I have been able to work on several different teams on different company locations throughout my placement
Very worthwhile experience and will hopefully be coming back
Overall Its a very good opportunity to gain some valuable experience
I loved working with the cars and getting to know the company as a whole

As work goes it was enjoyable The tasks given to me were relevant to my knowledge base and taught me a lot of new skills There was plenty of scope to experience work going on in the rest of the company too
I really enjoyed my placement at JLR as it was both rewarding and fun
Working in Advanced Product Creation Vehicle Architecture I was able to see and influence vehicle programs that will start production as late as 2018 which was extremely exciting There was always something new to learn and the people within the busines
Very good placement overall and still enjoy coming to work everyday Employees are friendly helpful and resourceful The company is growing and the biggest pain was finding a car parking space
Slow to start with then got better and better Really enjoyed getting involved in some significant projects

JLR are supportive from start to finish and provide a very wide range of training all of which are tailored to your professional development They are always keen for you to expand on your placement and have no issue with allowing placements with other
I have gained a very wide range of skills working on many different real life projects I have been able to work in and with different departments during the placement period
The time I spent working in the Telematics department of JLR was amazing it was an experience I could not even dream of acquiring in university
I found the complete 15 months very enjoyable as it gave many new training and learning opportunities
