I have thoroughly enjoyed the year
I have thoroughly enjoyed my placement year so much so that I have asked to be kept on as a PhD student with the company
It was a brilliant insight as to what my life and job coul dbe like after graduation
At first I was hesitant about applying for a placement year but now look back on it as a fantastic and amazing experience I had a simply unforgetable time and made some great friends
A good experience I learnt a lot

GSK is an excellent company to work for and I really enjoyed my placement for various reasons One being the development and support from managers who are committed to helping you develop as a person The people are super friendly here and the culture rea
I enjoyed my placement immensely I learnt so much and put so much theory into practice I did not expect to have such a big learning curve and can believe how much GSK value the work of its placement students
It was one of the best experiences of my life so far to be involved so deeply with the real world workings of such a large company like GSK
I really enjoyed this placement it has really enabled me to build on numerous skills and built my confidence to a greater level I am ready for the working world
It was a struggle at first but there are a lot of fantastic people in GSK and I connected with my mentor and made a lot of friends in GSK
GSK has given me great exposure to the real world of work The people around me were very supportive and you are genuinly treated as a regular employee
Overall very challenging and rewarding
The work placement at GSK was highly enjoyable initially I was worried that I would have less responsibilities and work on menial tasks however I am glad to say that I was wrong Within 2 weeks of joining I was being placed onto projects to work on and
Very interesting and you get treated as a normal member of staff
I would recommend every student to do some kind of placement
Had a good year with colleagues experienced in showing new students how to get into their roles as quickly as possible interesting tasks and a good placement student community
Enjoyable great experience Would have preferred a more technical role however
