It has been a thoroughly enjoyable and rewarding year I actively enjoy coming into work in the mornings

Really enjoyed the experience and all the different opportunites I received However found laboratory work sometimes repetitive and probably isnt for me in the long term

Halfway through the year I realised that working in a lab full time is not the career path I want to follow Research can be very frustrating as you dont often know where the compound you made is going and if it will help people I stopped finding my jo
While parts of the work were a challenge it gave a good impression of how laboratory based work operates in the real world
My work placement was enjoyable and has gone quickly My team was very friendly and welcoming and I do not feel like the student but a member of the team I would definitely recommend it to anyone else interested
