About IBM

At IBM, work is more than a job - it's a calling: To build. To design. To code. To consult. To think along with clients and sell. To make markets. To invent. To collaborate. Not just to do something better, but to attempt things you've never thought possible. To lead in this new era of technology and solve some of the world's most challenging problems.

From predicting the weather to artificial intelligence in Healthcare. Our Summer Internships and 12-month University Placements offer a world of opportunities. You’ll work on real projects, with real clients and real bottom-line deliverables. IBMers have the support of over 380,000 colleagues worldwide and work for leaders who reward diverse thinking and bold ideas. Our opportunities for university students will give you everything you need to build a successful career.

To further enhance your Professional Development, there are opportunities for coaching and mentoring and you even get a dedicated manager. You’ll then have the opportunity to apply your knowledge in a commercial environment, via ‘on the job training’, adding value to IBM and our clients.

We offer 12-month University Placement opportunities in Business & Finance, HR, Technology, Marketing, Software Development and Design, and an exciting 12-week ‘Extreme Blue’ Summer Internship where you’ll work on high profile projects for our clients.

Whichever you choose, you’ll gain the experience, skills and contacts you need to help us solve some of our client’s toughest challenges. In return, we’ll give you everything you need to build the career you want, including fantastic support, training and development and a salary of £18,500 (£19,500 for London based).

We’re looking for enthusiastic, driven and innovative individuals from any degree background. Our University Placement and Summer Internship will take place in your penultimate year of University. For all of our schemes you must also be on target for (or have already achieved) at least a 2:1 in your undergraduate degree.

The best thing about my current role is being able to achieve and exceed personal goals. For example, learning new skills using training courses provided, extending my knowledge, and earning badges to showcase this.
