Loved working at IBM Great relaxed atmosphere a lot of focus on development of placement students very sociable
The placement was very good to gain an insight of what a fulltime IT job was like The work however was very repetitive and soon become boring doing the same thing day in day out
I thoroughly enjoyed my placement year and would recommend the IBM placement scheme During my year I was given an enjoyable job role where I was given a lot of responsibility My colleagues during my placement were second to none
I really got to do a lot of what I learnt in school and was given the opportunity to add value to the company This was definetly not a fetch coffee and filing job
Job involved a lot of responsibility which was good but workload was very heavy at times and very high pressure
I loved my work placement I got so much out of it and it is as good as you make it

The actual daytoday tasks did get a little boring after a period of time but taking on other activities makes the role more varied Its what you make of the placement being proactive and looking for tasks really helps
