Register Your Interest - Summer Internship

Purpose: 

A 10 week summer placement for current undergraduates, driving British Airways into the future

Accountabilities

• To deliver all business placement tasks and accountabilities which could include project management, stakeholder management, strategic planning, research or reporting
• To challenge “current” thinking and constantly look for ways to improve on current ways of working
• Solve problems creatively whilst displaying a can do attitude
• Be proactive working with others and independently
• To take ownership of individual development, track learning and development throughout the internship aligned to your goals and expectations
• Collaborate effectively, building networks within the business placement and graduate network
• To understand your placement department, the different teams, how it operates and interacts with the wider business
• To learn about leadership behaviours

Learning journey

In the placement you will experience what it’s like to work in a corporate environment and airline sector. You’ll work in a team and independently to complete tasks and projects. You’ll design and deliver presentations, interact with people at all levels and develop your communication skills and confidence. You’ll learn processes and how to use tools,systems and software. 

Expertise & knowledge

• Confident using Microsoft 365 programmes
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Able to take the initiative, challenge the status quo and drive change
• Good commercial understanding
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport
• Qualifications
• Must be working at a minimum 2:2 level in any discipline
• Must be enrolled on an undergraduate programme
