Marketing Assistant Placement

Are you an ambitious individual with excellent communication skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively? We are looking for a Marketing Assistant undergraduate to join our Fleet marketing and product team, where our Business to Business (B2B) Customer Portfolio is managed. Your role will be diverse, covering all areas of Marketing: insight, planning, digital, content creation, product development, marketing communications, advertising, events and customer relationship management. 

This is what your time at Volkswagen Financial Services might look like: 

• Support the execution of digital marketing activity across the VWFS Fleet website. 
• You’ll be involved in improving user journeys and content creation.  
• Assist in planning and delivery of internal and external events. 
• Some UK travel may be required. All costs will be covered. 
• Assist with the creation of marketing assets such as social media posts, blogs, pitch decks and customer success stories. 
• Build and produce marketing emails to send to our prospect and customer data to drive engagement and growth. 
• Support the team with large brand campaigns that span across paid advertising.
• Produce key marketing reporting and insights. 
• Agency management - provide availability and updates to agencies. 
• Assist the team with general support – tracking the annual team budget.  

About you:

• Currently studying a degree in Business, Marketing or a related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the confidence to manage relationships at all levels. 
• Have strong analytical, numerical, accuracy & problem-solving skills.
• Have a high attention to detail. 
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to engage with a large and broad skill-based team. 
• Excellent IT skills, especially MS Office applications such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• A willingness to get stuck in and work alongside a great team.

Here’s what our process looks like: 

• Apply and upload your CV, covering letter and answer a few application questions.  
• You’ll then be invited to complete a Situational Judgement Test. This is a short multiple-choice question set to understand how you may approach situations.  
• If you pass this stage, you will be invited to complete an online video interview where you will have the opportunity to tell us more about yourself. 
• If successful, your final step in the journey is to attend an assessment centre at our Milton Keynes office where you will take part in a group exercise, complete a short interview and deliver a presentation. You'll also meet some of our managers and our current Undergraduates to find out more about a placement year with us.
