Medical Affairs Placement

Job Description:

This role will be based in London on an Hybrid working arrangement.

Our Medical Affairs team engages with industry leaders and medical experts to share the scientific value of our current and pipeline products. We connect, communicate and train internal employees to ensure we all understand the science behind our medicine.

Duties:

  • Develops an understanding of the Medical Excellence team: Clinical Operations, Devolved Nations, Ethics and Integrity, Innovation, Training and Development, Medical Information and the Irish Medical Affairs team
  • Works within the Patient Engagement group to chair meetings and help generate impactful patient initiatives
  • Develops an understanding of our organisation’s products and the disease areas
  • Works with wider cross functional teams on digital and social media innovation projects, and communications management
  • Helps develop and maintain the Medical Affairs skills and capabilities programme
  • Identifies systems or process improvements to enable the department to run efficiently
  • Participates in communication of Medical Affairs activities across the teams and the wider UK business
  • Leads on development of the Medical Affairs Newsletter and Medical Townhalls
  • Works alongside the team in the delivery of regular Medical Affairs team meetings
  • Maintain compliance with all statutory requirements, internal processes and procedures for Pharmacovigilance 

Requirements:

  • You will be looking to complete a 12-month student internship as part of your undergraduate degree
  • Studying a biomedical, science, or social science degree (or equivalent qualification)
  • Evidence of interest in healthcare sciences
