About the Department:
The Continuous Improvement team are focused on improving all processes across Operations and beyond. We work collaboratively with all teams with a focus on improvement and development to reduce time, cost and improve our quality overall.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a Continuous Improvement (CI) IP to champion and drive a culture of change across Operations with the support of the CI Team. Williams are currently undergoing an expansive Transformation and the CI team are at the heart of this change. This is a great opportunity to develop business understanding, understand our processes and learn techniques of how to improve our processes whilst being given great visibility across the organisation.
Your Responsibilities:
As the Continuous Improvement Industrial Placement post-holder at Williams, you will:
- Participate in Lean health checks and go/no goes.
- Perform workplace audits.
- Recommend to management changes that can cut waste from operating procedures.
- Demonstrate performance excellence behaviours within the business and champion performance excellence.
- Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems.
- Carry out time and motion studies to support productivity improvements.
- Consistently promote high standards through personal example and roll out through the team so that each member of the team understands the standards and behaviours expected of them.
- Gather data to demonstrate process improvement and base line current state.
- Carry out process and procedure improvements to optimise results and improve quality of delivery, in line with quality standards requirements in line with company and customer requirements.
