HR Undergraduate Placement

What will you be doing?

Only by recruiting and retaining the best talent will we achieve our business ambitions in the highly competitive and fast-moving UK automotive industry. You will support our employees to develop and grow to achieve their personal and professional ambitions. We have three roles in this stream and you will be asked for your preference if invited to assessment centre:

People Operations: Working as the first point of contact for the business, you will be advising our managers on a range of queries and policies to ensure the smooth running of day-to-day operations.

Talent, Development and Communications: In this role, you’ll provide proactive administration and project support across the Talent & Development and Internal Communications teams.

People Data: In this role you'll support in developing and producing accurate, timely, and meaningful data analysis and reporting to the people team and wider business. This is to continually enhance the HR strategy and support in providing people data insights in key identified areas.

What's in it for you?

As an undergraduate on one of our placements, you'll receive a £23,000 salary, as well as a new car every six months (as long as you have a full, clean UK driving licence). What do you need?

To be successful in this role you'll need to be a strong team player with the ability to adapt and analyse information to make sound recommendations. You'll be proactive, positive and delivery focused, with effective communication skills both verbally and in writing.

Our placement is open to any university student who is eligible to work full-time in the UK for twelve months from June 2025. You should be on a sandwich degree or course which offers a one-year industrial placement.

We believe all employees should have a good work/life balance and wouldn't want you to spend a large amount of time commuting, so we require our undergraduates to be based within a reasonable distance from our Milton Keynes head office. 

What's the assessment process?

Once you have hit the apply button, you will be asked to complete numerical assessment and situational judgement assessments. If you successfully complete these, we will invite you to an online video interview so that we have a chance to get to know a little more about you.

Our final step in the journey would be for you to attend a face-to-face assessment centre, where you will take part in a range of activities based on real life tasks. You will also have a chance to meet some of our managers and the existing student placement cohort to find out more about the scheme.

This process is designed to help us both work out if a placement here is the right step for you. Successful candidates will be offered a place soon after the assessment centre.
