Our Summit ONE in Farnborough is home to the National Sales Company for the BMW Group in the UK, as well as BMW Group Financial Services which offers retailers, corporate, and private customers a range of customised financial services. Alphabet (GB) Ltd. as a leading provider of Business Mobility Services is also located in Farnborough.  We decided in November 2020 to bring together BMW Financial Services and Alphabet to stay relevant to our customers and continue to succeed in a rapidly changing business environment.

MINI UK, Farnborough - MINI Digital Marketing - 13 Month Placement (July 2025)

We are looking for a confident and eager to learn individual to join our MINI Marketing team, responsible for all digital marketing, national advertising, social media, and CRM (customer acquisition and loyalty). Working with a multi-million pound budget, all marketing activity is focused on supporting the delivery of annual sales targets through the generation of enquiries. Our team work with large marketing agency teams to deliver the annual marketing plan via a number of campaigns and model launches. This is a dynamic, busy, yet fun team with a work hard, play hard attitude.

Whilst MINI is part of the BMW Group, it has a very separate brand identity, with the smaller MINI marketing team working autonomously from BMW. Everything from our dress code to office environment is reflective of the MINI brand. Being part of a small marketing team offers you the opportunity to get involved in many aspects of the marketing mix. In addition, our team structure allows you to take full responsibility for digital projects in addition to supporting the wider National Communications team.

What will you be doing?

You will assist the MINI Digital Marketing team with the following tasks:

  • Managing the national MINI.co.uk website including content creation and product communication.
  • Optimising MINI.co.uk using a range of insight tools including customer feedback mechanisms.
  • Enhancing user experience across all digital channels for MINI.
  • Supporting the creation and analysis of MINI CRM (email) deployment including customer acquisition and loyalty activities. This includes being involved in content creation and analysis for our monthly customer email, ‘The Edit’.
  • Supporting the management of the MINI online configurator.
  • Managing MINI Retailer websites.
  • Contributing to the weekly MINI Retailer network communications.
  • Collaborating with the MINI Brand Communications and Events teams to ensure effectiveness across all marketing campaigns and at all major events.
  • Working with MINI Financial Services to ensure MINI has an effective online presence. This will include assisting with the promotion of finance offers.
  • Constructing agency briefs for online content generation.
  • Compiling presentation slides for both the Global Brand team and use in MINI stakeholder meetings.
  • Getting involved in projects outside of the job role, allowing you to have input into wider parts of MINI and the BMW Group.

Qualifications

Qualifications and experience

  • Studying towards a bachelor's degree and on track to achieve at least a 2:2. A Business or Marketing related field of study is beneficial but not essential. 
  • Excellent IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office software. A willingness to understand and use new systems and technology is also necessary. 
  • A well-rounded individual with a good mix of numerical and creative skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal English language skills, being particularly strong in spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to influence and negotiate with agencies, internal stakeholders, and brand partners.
  • Well organised, coupled with the ability to manage your time and complete tasks before deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail, coupled with the ability to provide considered feedback to agencies and colleagues. 
  • A team player with a helpful, can-do attitude.
  • The ability to clearly understand the MINI brand tone of voice and creative style in order to provide relevant feedback and input on projects.
  • An interest in the automotive industry is advantageous. 
  • A full UK Driving License is advantageous but is not essential
