Our Summit ONE in Farnborough is home to the National Sales Company for the BMW Group in the UK, as well as BMW Group Financial Services which offers retailers, corporate, and private customers a range of customised financial services. Alphabet (GB) Ltd. as a leading provider of Business Mobility Services is also located in Farnborough. We decided in November 2020 to bring together BMW Financial Services and Alphabet to stay relevant to our customers and continue to succeed in a rapidly changing business environment.

BMW UK, Financial Services, Farnborough – Customer Journeys & Process Management - 13 Month Placement (July 2025)

With a focus on customer journeys and continuous improvement, the department is responsible for analysing key performance indicators, monitoring operational resilience, driving process efficiency and automating business processes using robotics. We are at the forefront of process governance and continuous improvement, working to empower all members of our organisation with the skills and knowledge to make positive changes to their processes.

As a highly organised and self-motivated team player with a keen attention to detail and a strong ability to apply yourself, you will play a critical role in supporting process governance and continuous process improvement within the business. This is an excellent opportunity to join us in our Customer Journey and Process Management team and gain valuable experience in an exciting and fast-paced work environment.

What will you be doing?

  • Support the monitoring of Customer Journey and Process Governance.
  • Prepare monthly BMW Process World reporting.
  • Conduct stakeholder meetings around the topics of Customer Journeys and Process governance.
  • Verify processes and process documentation through conducting quality assurance checks.
  • Support team admin (team meeting minutes etc.)
  • Support / conduct continuous improvement reviews, including process mapping activities.
  • Conduct analysis of data to support the prioritisation of the robotics process automation backlog.
  • Support automation initiatives including initial assessment reviews.
  • Ownership and maintenance of the Process Management and Quality Team Intranet pages, utilising knowledge of the department to effectively communicate the team’s roles and responsibilities. This will provide you will knowledge of web page design and maintenance. 
  • Manage and maintain Jira and Confluence spaces. This will develop your skills on these platforms which are commonly used in Agile project management and delivery.

Qualifications

  • Studying for a business related degree with a predicted grade of 2:1 or above.
  • Experience of working within a team and/or with leading others
  • Strong written and verbal communication, influencing and facilitation skills.
  • Confidence to challenge the status quo and put forward suggestions for improvement.
  • Ability to work at both a detailed and high level.
  • Ability to be pro-active, self-starter with a high level of initiative.
  • Ability to prioritize activities, work under pressure and multi-task.
  • Data analysis skills.
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Office suite (Specifically Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
