Savills Sandwich Placement

The Savills Sandwich Placement Programme provides students the opportunity to gain a thorough understanding of the industry, market and Savills teams and clients, contributing towards your APC experience (if studying a cognate degree). Savills offers various Surveying and Planning routes as a sandwich placement student.

Day to Day work

“A typical day would include building strong relationships and working through deals. This includes calling other agents, investigating comparable evidence, meeting with clients, and visiting properties. It is a truly varied role and no day is the same”.

Benefits of an industry placement

“One benefit of completing a sandwich placement is being able to experience your degree in action and put into practice the knowledge obtained whilst studying. We were often asked to read through leases at university which I now do almost every day. I know when I return to university I will have a greater depth of understanding about my course and the placement could even lead to an early offer on the Graduate Programme.”

Training

Our training and development programme is highly regarded as one of the best in the property industry, and is geared towards enabling our sandwich placement students to reach their full potential. As a sandwich placement student, you'll also have regular opportunities to attend technical, business skills and personal development activities - including conferences, courses, lectures, networking and social events - which compliment both your practical experience and meet the theoretical requirements of your APC. Your placement will also count as 12 months of your APC.

What we’re looking for

Ahead of anything else, we look for individualism and diversity in our graduate intake - so it's very important at every stage of the selection process that you take every opportunity to show us what you're really like. Be honest and above all, be yourself.
