We are seeking enthusiastic undergraduates for our R&D and Supply Chain teams. Opportunities are available across various disciplines, including:

Supply Chain Opportunities:

Central Technical Services

  • Location: Coventry and Leicester
  • Preferred degrees: Mechanical/Electrical, Chemical, or Manufacturing Engineering
  • Lead and manage Capital Projects, ensuring compliance with PepsiCo standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and deliver projects that drive technical productivity.

Change and Transformation

  • Location: Leicester
  • Preferred degrees: Business Management or related fields
  • Support the planning and deployment of new product specifications and capital investment programs.

Engineering

  • Location: Coventry, Leicester, and Lincoln
  • Preferred degrees: Mechanical/Electrical, Chemical, or Manufacturing Engineering
  • Drive equipment reliability and energy improvements through hands-on projects.

Operations

  • Location: Brigg, Coventry, and Leicester SRDC
  • Preferred degrees: Business Management or related fields
  • Lead projects from inception to completion, identifying productivity improvements along the way.

Quality & Food Safety

  • Location: Coventry and Lincoln
  • Preferred degrees: Food Science, Technology, or related fields
  • Support initiatives to enhance food safety performance and quality metrics.

R&D Opportunities:

Agricultural Science

  • Location: Beaumont Park, Leicester
  • Preferred degrees: Biological Sciences, Environmental Sciences, or related fields
  • Assist in developing technologies for global food brands through field trials and data analysis.

Nutrition & Sport Sciences

  • Location: Beaumont Park, Leicester
  • Preferred degrees: Nutrition or Sports Science
  • Support nutrition documentation and engage with athletes through Gatorade’s initiatives.

Packaging

  • Location: Beaumont Park, Leicester
  • Preferred degrees: Packaging, Food Science, or Product Design Engineering
  • Lead sustainable packaging development activities and conduct tests to enhance product attributes.

Product Development

  • Location: Beaumont Park, Leicester
  • Preferred degrees: Food Science or Chemistry
  • Engage in hands-on product trials and collaborate with global teams to innovate.

Process Development

  • Location: Beaumont Park, Leicester
  • Preferred degrees: Chemical Engineering or related fields
  • Manage experimental studies and contribute to technology evaluation projects.

Virtual Development

  • Location: Beaumont Park, Leicester
  • Preferred degrees: Mechanical/Chemical Engineering, Computer Science, or Data Science
  • Apply machine learning and modelling techniques to drive innovation.

Analytical Chemistry

  • Location: Beaumont Park, Leicester
  • Preferred degrees: Chemistry or Biochemistry
  • Design experimental studies to analyse process-induced changes in foods.

What are we looking for?

  • Full right to work in the UK for the duration of the placement.
  • Students in their penultimate year of university, with a sandwich placement option.
  • Intellectual curiosity, ambition, creativity, and a passion for sustainability and engineering.

What else do you need to know?

  • Salary: £23,800
  • Benefits: 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, discounted products, competitive pension, and health benefits.
