About the programme:
The Deutsche Bank Internship Programme is designed to help you develop your skills through formal training and continuous support. You’ll quickly gain the confidence to take on real projects by learning first-hand how and what we deliver for clients worldwide. You’ll feel supported by colleagues from across our business and start to develop your professional network.
The seasonal internship is 6 months and designed for students in their penultimate year of study, who are looking for a long-term internship as part of their course.
About the division:
Our Corporate Finance business provides the full range of advisory and financing products and services of a leading global investment bank. Our clients include large-cap and mid-cap corporates, financial institutions, governments, government agencies and financial sponsors.
We recognise that selecting the right investment banking partner can be the key to a company’s success. Our relationships are enhanced by industry sector, country and regional expertise, closely aligned to high-quality client solutions. We offer both buyside and sellside advisory services for mergers and acquisitions, restructuring advisory, debt and equity capital raising services and structured equity transactions. We advise on innovative cross-border and regional transactions in the US, Europe and Asia Pacific.

Working on our day-to-day business as well as on special projects, you will contribute to the innovation of new ideas to help our customers achieve their financial goals. You will gain experience in different areas of our business and discover our market-leading solutions firsthand. Tasks may include evaluating companies, developing models for M&A transactions, preparing industry analyses for pitches, or getting involved in the execution of live deals.
The internship is an ideal way of finding out whether a career in Corporate Finance meets your needs and aspirations.
Areas in which you could work:
- Industry Groups
- Product Groups
What we look for:
We recruit students and graduates who are intelligent and adaptable with excellent communication skills. They have degrees in many different disciplines. Even though good levels of numeracy are important for some roles, you won’t necessarily need a formal mathematical or financial background. Our comprehensive training programmes will give you all the technical knowledge you’ll need to build a career with us.
To be eligible for the 2025 Internship Programme you must:
- Be in your penultimate year with either your final year or masters year left to complete after the internship.
- Complete your studies (all final exams, coursework and have no outstanding requirements for graduation) between 1st August 2025 and 31st July 2026.
- Be able to start full time work in July 2026, subject to local working legislation and visa requirements.
- You should also be on track for a 2:1 or First (or equivalent) in your undergraduate degree.
- Possess no more than 12 months full-time, relevant work experience.
- For some placements within Origination and Advisory, in addition to English, fluency in a European language is desirable.
