We are looking for an enthusiastic Automation & Technology Manufacturing Engineer to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Assembly & IE business unit in Peterborough. your placement with us, you will learn how a major global organization operates, gaining the tools and exposure you will need to become an expert in the industry and power your potential!  

This role is available to candidates who qualify for a placement year and will commence 7th July 2025.

External Qualifications and Competencies

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: 

  • Support Global Manufacturing Engineering (GME) to deliver Automation and Innovation/New Technology Strategies
  • Assist in the deployment of Central Capital to our manufacturing network to fund automation projects
  • Become a subject matter expert in specified automation technologies - allowing you to document and guide others
  • Lead projects in the advanced technology/process innovation space
  • Support plants to develop new solutions to current business issues
  • Support GME initiatives as needed

Additional Responsibilities Unique to this Position

To be successful in this role you will need the following: 

  • Studying BEng or MEng in Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Management, Mechanical Engineering or STEM degree
  • IT competent with working knowledge of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint)
  • Good communication and influential skills
  • Positive attitude, strong personal motivation, and an effective member of a team
