Programme Overview:

This paid insight programme offers participants an invaluable opportunity to explore PwC's key business lines, including tax, audit, consulting, technology, deals, and legal services. During the programme, you will gain hands-on experience, mentorship, and exposure to PwC’s culture and working environment, helping you to develop essential skills that will prepare you for a career in professional services.

Areas of Focus:

Participants in the Black Talent in Business Insight Programme can explore a variety of business areas, such as:

Audit and Assurance:

  • Support audit teams by helping clients ensure the accuracy of their financial information.
  • Gain experience in both traditional audit practices and digital audit, using innovative tools to enhance audit delivery.

Tax Services:

  • Work alongside experienced tax professionals to assist clients with their tax compliance and advisory needs.
  • Learn how to navigate complex tax regulations and provide solutions that help clients reduce their tax liabilities.

Consulting (Management, Strategy, and Risk):

  • Work with clients to address strategic business challenges and improve their operations.
  • Support technology transformation, risk management, and sustainability projects, applying both qualitative and quantitative insights.
  • Gain exposure to our Deals and Delivering Deal Value (DDV) teams, supporting M&A transactions and business restructures.

Technology Consulting:

  • Help clients design, implement, and manage cutting-edge technology solutions to improve efficiency, manage risks, and drive growth.
  • Get involved with projects in data analytics, cybersecurity, and cloud computing to develop practical technology skills.

Legal Services:

  • Work within PwC’s legal services team to provide clients with comprehensive legal advice on business transactions, mergers, acquisitions, and compliance.

Economic Consulting:

  • Support clients in making informed business decisions by leveraging advanced economic analysis, financial modelling, and data-driven insights.

Risk and Sustainability:

  • Assist clients in identifying and managing risks related to regulatory compliance, cybersecurity, and sustainability.
  • Help create strategies that enhance a business’s resilience and long-term sustainability.

What to Expect:

During the Black Talent in Business Insight Programme, you will:

  • Engage in a structured programme that offers a deep dive into one of PwC’s core business areas, developing industry-relevant knowledge and skills.
  • Work on real client projects, collaborating with teams to deliver solutions that make a tangible impact.
  • Participate in workshops, seminars, and networking events with PwC professionals, gaining insights into the various career paths available.
  • Receive coaching and mentoring from experienced professionals who are committed to supporting your development.
  • Build relationships with peers, PwC staff, and senior leaders, helping you to form a professional network for your future career.

Who We're Looking For:

We’re looking for talented Black students who are passionate about business and eager to gain experience in professional services. To be successful in this programme, you should have:

  • A genuine interest in the business area you apply for and a curiosity to explore how professional services can solve complex client challenges.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a professional environment.
  • A proactive attitude and a willingness to learn new skills and take on responsibility.
  • A 2:1 degree (or equivalent) in any discipline (applicants in their penultimate year of university are encouraged to apply).
