Programme Overview:
PwC’s Legal Summer Internship offers an exciting opportunity for students to gain valuable experience within PwC’s expanding legal practice. As part of our integrated professional services approach, you’ll work alongside legal, tax, consulting, and other business professionals to provide comprehensive solutions for our clients. This internship is designed to give you real-world exposure to PwC’s diverse legal services, helping you to build the foundation for a future career in law.
The Legal Summer Internship provides hands-on experience across areas such as legal entity governance and compliance, corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, and regulatory compliance. Participants will have the chance to work on real projects and gain insights into how we help clients navigate the complexities of modern business law. You’ll also have access to mentorship, learning resources, and opportunities to network with PwC professionals.
Areas of Focus:
Participants in the Legal Summer Internship will gain exposure to several key areas, including:
Legal Entity Governance and Compliance:
- Assist in providing governance and compliance services to multinational clients, ensuring that they meet their regulatory obligations.
- Support the implementation of legal compliance frameworks, helping organisations manage risks and adhere to local and international laws.
Corporate and Commercial Law:
- Work on a variety of corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and business restructurings.
- Assist with drafting legal documents, conducting due diligence, and advising clients on complex commercial contracts.
Regulatory and Risk Advisory:
- Help clients navigate the legal implications of emerging regulatory frameworks, ensuring compliance in areas such as data protection, cybersecurity, and financial services.
- Advise on risk management strategies that address legal challenges faced by businesses in a rapidly changing regulatory landscape.
Legal Services Integration:
- Collaborate with PwC’s broader professional services teams (tax, consulting, and deals) to provide holistic solutions to client challenges.
- Gain insights into how legal expertise is integrated with other areas of business to create innovative and effective client solutions.

Who We're Looking For:
We’re seeking students who are eager to learn more about legal services within a professional services firm. To succeed in the Legal Summer Internship, you should have:
- A strong interest in the law, particularly in areas such as corporate law, governance, regulatory compliance, or mergers and acquisitions.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex legal and regulatory information.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both colleagues and clients.
- A proactive and curious attitude, with a passion for problem-solving and delivering client-focused solutions.
- A 2:1 degree (or equivalent) in law or a related discipline (penultimate-year law students are encouraged to apply).
