Biology Student Placement

Join our dedicated biology team at the Discovery Centre laboratories located in the London Business Innovation Centre near King’s Cross London. This is an exciting opportunity for a placement student to contribute to groundbreaking research in cellular aging and neuroscience, helping to build a strong foundation for success in your scientific future. Responsibilities

  • Conduct and assist in the development of experiments and assays for neurodegeneration research.
  • Effectively communicate research findings through oral and written presentations.
  • Stay updated with relevant published work to inform and enhance internal research.
  • Contribute to general laboratory duties, demonstrating teamwork and collaboration.

Qualifications

Required

  • Must be in the third or penultimate year of an undergraduate degree, with the intention to complete a 12-month student internship and return to studies afterwards.
  • Pursuing a degree in Biological Sciences or a related field.
  • Demonstrates a solid understanding of molecular and cellular biology and biochemistry.

Preferred

  • Practical laboratory experience
  • Understanding of statistical analysis
