Junior Artworker Student Placement

The Companion Animal Technology Solutions team is a direct-to-consumer business. Cats and dogs really are our best friends, and we develop products that enhance the lives of pets and their owners. Founded in 2007 to help Flipper the cat, the award-winning range of petcare products are designed with the belief that applied technology will help re-imagine the way in which we are able to care for our pets.

This role will join the Creative Team in the creation of marketing campaigns direct-to-consumer with a focus on social channels and retailer marketing for our brands. Day to day tasks will Include developing assets for both Instagram and Facebook, support with email design, web banners and print design. Above all, we are looking for a candidate that is passionate about design and social media and will bringing fresh ideas to the table.

We are looking for a Junior Artworker who can contribute original ideas and become part of the creative storytelling process.

Role responsibilities will include:

  • Composing and creating assets for use on digital channels
  • Understanding briefs and conceptualising visuals based on requirements
  • Ensuring projects are completed on brand to a high quality and on schedule
  • Working with a wide range of media and use of graphic design software
  • Ad hoc design support to the business e.g. presentation decks
  • Ongoing market and competitor research with an eye for trends and innovations in the Social Media landscape.

What we’re looking for:

  • Pet lovers with a stand-out portfolio
  • Strong understanding of design, typography, and layout
  • Ability to interpret brand visual tone and style
  • Interested in emerging creative formats

Located outside of Cambridge, our office is in Cambourne. The role is hybrid with 2 days in the office and flexibility to work from home. Buses are available from Cambridge city at suitable times around office hours. Free onsite parking is available for those who wish to drive. ­

Requirements:

  • You must currently be at university and will be looking to complete a 12-month student internship as part of your undergraduate degree.
  • Strong skills in Adobe Create Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Figma and other relevant technologies
  • Good communication skills
