Communications & Policy Associate Student Placement

This is an office-based role in Milton Keynes, with some anticipated travel to national events and meetings. We offer hybrid working, with a minimum of two days required in the office

Then the one-year Communications & Policy Associate role in Animal Health may be for you!

We are seeking a UK-based university student looking to complete a placement year in industry to join the Animal Health UK communications and policy team from June 2025. The communications and policy team is responsible for corporate internal and external communications, corporate social media and policy and government relations.

Responsibilities

As part of this small but integral team, the Communications & Policy Associate will be responsible for a number of tasks, including:

  • Creating content for and managing our internal communications channels
  • Devising and implementing internal and external communications campaigns
  • Media monitoring and reporting to the business for key products, campaigns and issues
  • Supporting management of our corporate social media accounts
  • Providing general day-to-day and administrative support to the team

Qualities we’re looking for:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience creating engaging multimedia content whether that’s for social media, student newsletters, blogs, etc.
  • Intellectually curious and comfortable engaging in healthy debate with colleagues at all levels to improve ideas and achieve better outcomes
  • A team player mentality with a can-do attitude.
  • Proficiency in project management, organisation and administration

Requirements:

  • You will be looking to complete a 12-month student internship as part of your undergraduate degree
