The Opportunity:
At LCP, we assess risks linked to uncertain future events, helping clients understand and quantify these uncertainties to better manage their risks.
As a Summer Intern in our Insurance Consulting department, you’ll work directly with general insurance clients, gaining hands-on experience in areas such as:
- Advising on financial risk management and reserving for insurance companies.
- Building models to calculate capital requirements.
- Helping clients meet Solvency UK and Solvency II regulatory requirements.
- Supporting the development of our award-winning analytics tools, like the InsurSight reserving platform, and working with coding languages like R and Python.
This internship will give you valuable experience in simplifying and presenting complex analysis to clients. You’ll have the chance to work on real client projects and see what a career in insurance consulting is all about.
What We’re Looking For:
- A-Level Maths at Grade A (taking any contextualisation of grades into account)
- Currently studying for a degree in any subject, with a 2:1 expected
- An interest in insurance and awareness of current industry issues
- Strong problem-solving, numeracy, and analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills, with evidence of coding and presentation abilities
