Alphabet (GB) Ltd. as a leading provider of Business Mobility Services is also located in Farnborough.

BMW UK, Farnborough - Digital Platforms Assistant - 13 Month Placement (July 2025) 

What awaits you? 

  • This role is cross functional, giving you the opportunity to work across Marketing, Digital, E-commerce, Service, and Parts areas, as well as interfacing with other departments within the organisation and our Retailer Network.
  • As part of the role, you will be involved in the commercial elements of the business which will include gaining an understanding of the return on investment of our activities, monitoring competitor activity, and interacting and maintaining relationships with contacts across our agency landscape.
  • Supporting the Ecommerce Manager to schedule and facilitate meetings with various e-commerce stakeholders, both internal and external.
  • Working and building relationships with internal and external stakeholders to effectively deal with negative customer experiences on e-commerce sales channels, aiming to ensure all our customers receive an exceptional experience. 
  • Supporting the wider Channel Development areas with regular accurate reporting.
  • Supporting the Retail Channel Development Executive by assisting with and supporting the maintenance/development of the Service Online Booking Platform and various other digital convenient journey platforms such as BME Chat, and BMW Pay.
  • The role will occasionally involve offsite meetings, so a willingness to travel is key, although the majority of your time will be spent at Summit One in Farnborough. 

Qualifications and experience

  • Studying towards a bachelor's degree in Business Studies, IT, or a related field and on track to achieve at least a 2:2.
  • An interest in e-commerce and a strong awareness of online stores are desirable. In addition, experience selling online either on your own e-commerce platform or one of the major online marketplaces would be advantageous, but is not essential.
  • A confident user of Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel, is a necessity. 
  • A thirst for learning, an eye for detail, and a creative flare would all be beneficial.
  • You must be able to work both as part of a team and individually on projects, adding value and delivering against our deadlines and targets.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written are essential.
  • An ability to effectively manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy is required.
