BMW UK, Financial Services, Farnborough – Operations Analytics - 13 Month Placement (July 2025)

The Operations Analytics team is responsible for analysing operational performance, monitoring operational resilience, and identifying opportunities for improvement. They are at the forefront key operational decision making and continuous improvement, working to provide all members of our organisation with the insight and knowledge to make data driven decisions.As a highly organised, analytical, and self-motivated team player with a keen attention to detail and a strong ability to apply yourself, you will play a critical role in analysing operational performance and enabling data-driven decision-making. This is an excellent opportunity to join us in our Operations Reporting and Resilience team and gain valuable experience in an exciting and fast-paced work environment. As a highly organised, analytical, and self-motivated team player with a keen attention to detail and a strong ability to apply yourself, you will play a critical role in analysing operational performance and enabling data-driven decision-making. This is an excellent opportunity to join us in our Operations Reporting and Resilience team and gain valuable experience in an exciting and fast-paced work environment.

What awaits you?

  • Producing regular management information to support key operational decision making.
  • Supporting in the maintenance and development of global Key Performance Indicator reporting, identifying trends and benchmarking against other BMW markets.
  • Monitoring the ability of BMW Financial Services to adapt, respond, recover, and learn from operational disruption through the Operational Resilience programme.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and lead projects to deliver quantifiable improvements.
  • Support key department and company initiatives.
  • Manage and develop the department’s knowledge base.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Studying for an undergraduate degree level in Business or STEM-based subject’s and on track to achieve a 2:1 or above.
  • Strong numerical ability
  • Proven Intermediate level Excel is essential.
  • Experience using programming languages such as SQL or VBA would be advantageous but not essential.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
