Choose Communications & Events
If you're passionate about storytelling and believe in the value of good communication, then our team could be the one for you. You will work with the team to develop and implement a clear and creative internal communication approach to convey the strategy of both RWEST and the RWE Group to our employees. Alongside this, you will gain in-depth knowledge of the organisation and implementation of events as you support the team in arranging internal events for our employees. The team sits within the wider Corporate Affairs department which offers an overarching view of RWEST, allowing you the opportunity to gain insight into a wide range of business topics and activities.
Job requirements and experiences
As a team, we need creative and flexible thinking that helps us to produce content that will inspire and engage our employees. You will be someone who is organised, solution-oriented, and who finds satisfaction in seeing your hard work come to life as you bring an event from conception to reality.
Your work will have a real impact in uniting a global business and creating a positive company culture, and that’s why we need the right person for our team. You will need to be self-motivated, enjoy teamwork, and be willing to step out of your comfort zone to develop both personally and professionally.
We’re looking for students who are in the penultimate year of an English, Communications, Media Studies, Event Management or similar degree who are ideally on course to achieve a 2:1 or higher. What you must have is:
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills with fluent English
- IT proficiency
- Strong organisational skills
- Enjoy creative thinking
- Good collaboration and teamwork skills
- Self-motivated and comfortable acting on your own initiative
- A positive mindset and enthusiasm to try new things
