Product Vigilance Placement
The Product Vigilance Intern shall support the Global Vigilance Groups activities with a focus on supporting the companies Post Market Surveillance, Vigilance and Pharmacovigilance activities. The role will support products from both our in-house production as well as our global network of external Contract Manufacturers and Service Providers covering multiple product classifications such as Cosmetics, Food Supplements, Medical Devices and Pharmaceuticals.
Responsible for
- Supporting the post-market and vigilance processes in the review of safety & performance related complaints for investigation, escalation and reportability to competent authorities.
- Supporting the consumer feedback processes and activities.
- Support the management of business relationships with external contractors providing services such reportability review, consumer relations & fulfilment activities, and other service software solutions.
- Analysing post-market data and highlighting potential problems to ensure product safety and efficacy in market.
- Supporting the business in being ‘inspection ready’ in preparation to be audited by regulatory authorities against requirements of EU MDR, UK MDR, EU Cosmetic Regulations, and ISO certifications such as ISO:13485 and ISO:22716.
- Supporting the complaint vigilance leads in the development of required regulatory outputs such as PMS reports and PSUR’S.
Special Relationships
The Product Vigilance Intern will report to the Complaint Vigilance Manager – UK & EU and will be working closely with the personnel from the Global Vigilance Group, Quality Teams as well as external service providers. At times they will also be expected to liaise closely with the production teams and employees across the business at all levels.
Education and Prior Work Experience Required
- Be an undergraduate / postgraduate in Business, Scientific, Mathematical or Engineering discipline.
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Be able to demonstrate a “can do” attitude and desire to continuously improve.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Have an enquiring mind.
- Be competent in MS Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Health & Safety
- To ensure that they are aware of, understand and follow all Company Health & Safety instructions - accident/incident reporting, first aid etc.
- To report any accidents or near misses to the Health & Safety Officer and/or Health, Safety & Environment Officer
