At Magnet Technology in Eynsham, Oxford, we are proud to be world leaders in designing and manufacturing superconducting magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) magnets. This 12-month intern placement offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience at the forefront of medical technology. As a Service Management Engineer Intern, you will play a vital role in ensuring our products perform seamlessly in the field while contributing to innovative solutions that shape the future of healthcare.

What You’ll Do

• Support Global Teams: Provide critical support to our headquarters and global service centres, offering advice and assistance to field service engineers around the world.
• Data Analysis and Problem-Solving: Analyse performance data from our MRI installed base and ancillary components to identify trends, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive solutions.
• Enhance Product Quality: Work closely with the team to improve the quality and performance of superconducting magnets and MRI systems in the field.
• Optimise Service Solutions: Contribute to improving service processes, driving cost savings while maintaining exceptional quality standards.
• Professional Development: Participate in our structured Intern Development Programme, where you'll build valuable skills in communication, teamwork, and commercial awareness.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking ambitious and driven students ready to embrace real challenges during their year in industry. If you’re passionate about technology and eager to learn, this internship is for you.

About you:

• You will be an undergraduate student currently studying a towards a bachelors degree in Engineering (mechanical, electronics, electrical or materials), manufacturing, physics or related subject and completing a 12-month industrial placement or sandwich year as part of your degree.
• You will have strong analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
• You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• You will have a proactive, team-oriented attitude with a willingness to learn and take initiative.

You must also have eligibility to work in the UK for the duration of the internship.
