Undergraduate - Retail Pricing
At Honda we embrace inclusion in our various policies, so whilst our contracts state that the hours are as required to fulfil the role with a minimum of 35 hours per week, we offer flexibility for when you work. The regular office hours are 08:00 – 16:00 Monday to Thursday with a half hour lunch break & 08:00 – 13:00 on a Friday. However, we offer flexibility of when you work with our daily flex-time start of between 07:00 and 11:00 providing that there is no business requirement.
Whilst there is no contractual right to work from home, the flexibility we offer is that you can request to work from home for a maximum of 50% of the working days in any one month, again providing there is no business requirement to attend the office.
Role:
Retail Pricing sits within the Finance and Credit Department, and works closely with our Sales & Marketing, and Retail Operations teams. The Retail Pricing department are responsible for all aspects of retail finance packages, from pricing of rates through to the payment of commission and the creation of campaign products. The Department is also responsible for the vehicle asset database, residual value calculations, and margin reporting.
This is a varied operational position supporting the business, to align with the FCA’s Consumer Duty methodology, whilst delivering competitive rates and terms packages. The role will be responsible for collating pricing and residual value information and assisting with the configuration and maintenance of the core banking system. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate an ability to interpret and analyse data, and present findings in a logical manner, using reporting and presentation tools.
The role will assist the Department to implement ongoing system releases, and document changes to processes and procedures.
Main Responsibilities:
- Compile data to support Consumer Duty price and fair value assessments.
- Prepare content for the Pricing and Residual Value committees.
- Setup of finance products, and provide related support to internal customers.
- Preparation of monthly residual value data, and competitor analysis.
- Assist with the review and documentation of existing and new procedures.
- Undertake data analysis to support the review of dealer packages.
- Create ad hoc analysis and BI reports.
- Maintain dealer network and finance product records.
- Support the delivery of dealer commission queries.
- Maintain test scripts to support ongoing system upgrades.
Qualifications, skills and experience: Required/Desirable
Required
- Must be an undergraduate, undertaking a finance or business related degree, looking for a placement as part of their studies.
- Organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
- Ability to problem solve, and offer solutions to challenging situations.
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrate ability to use databases, business intelligence applications and spreadsheets.
- Analytical mind capable of interpreting data and understanding dealer packages quickly.
- Ability to present complex information clearly and logically.
