Role Overview

Panasonic is giving you the opportunity to work at the forefront of innovation within Consumer electricals. Panasonic has grown to become one of the largest electronics companies in the world, producing market leading products in home appliances, cameras, TV, surveillance and many more.

You will be joining in a year in which the management and marketing teams will be integral. Panasonic needs your help with the management and marketing processes within several of our Consumer product departments

How you will become part of the bigger picture....

As part of our team you will provide support in tasks including:

• Keeping track of sales and forecasts, updating weekly reports for major customers and gain an understanding of forecasts and market data.
• Updating web content for online retailers, help our products be marketed online.
• Supporting new product development and marketing campaigns.
• Assisting in promotional activities and events e.g., trade shows.
• Supporting Brand Comms and PR with sending samples to influencers, press and for events.
• Liaising with suppliers on visual merchandising.
• Gaining insight and assisting in Business Planning and marketing plans for your year at Panasonic.
• Liaising with the business unit in Japan regarding products, stock, and other marketing materials
• Managing Product Sample Stock - arranging deliveries & collection of stock between other EU countries and UK to maintain operating levels.
• Maintaining regular communication with different internal departments including Sales, Brand Communications, PR, Finance and Planning to share information on marketing activities.
• Bringing potential new ideas and insights into the team on both the market and products.

What you will bring to the picture....

• Must be a university student with an industrial placement year, where this experience would be beneficial to your course.
• We are looking for candidates who are self-motivated to bring unique perspective to the Marketing team at Panasonic UK.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal.
• Problem-solving ability that will enable you to develop solutions for barriers or administrative issues that may arise.
• Hybrid working role which requires the ability to work independently, as well as within a team environment.
• Good time-management and the ability to prioritise workload in an organised fashion.
• Strong drive to succeed within the corporate environment.
• Proactive in the workplace, using initiative to complete tasks without supervision.
• An interest in commercial marketing which includes consumer insights, market trends and data analysis.
• An interest in consumer electronics will help you to succeed in each category (Audio, Imaging and Beauty/Home Appliances).
• Independent management of responsibilities and ability to take full ownership of daily tasks
• Team player and ability to work in harmony with the rest of the group.

What would give you the edge....

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 Suite to assist in administrative work. However, advanced training will be provided.
• Modern marketing knowledge – social media, teams, video...

What we offer :

• Salary range: £24,600 per annum
• Annual Bonus
• Annual Leave: 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
• Contract Type: Fixed Term 13 month contract
• Hours: 37.5 Full-time
• Location: Bracknell
• Hybrid working – with the expectation to work from the office a minimum of 2 / 3 days a week
• Travel Requirements: May occasionally be asked to attend off-site meetings.
