We are looking for an enthusiastic Engineering Student to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Blockline Quality business unit in Daventry. During your placement with us, you will learn how a major global organization operates, gaining the tools and exposure you will need to become an expert in the industry and power your potential!  

This role is available to candidates who qualify for a placement year and will commence 28th July 2025. This is a full site-based role.

External Qualifications and Competencies

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: 

  • Assisting in defect diagnosis and parts disposition on the shop floor
  • Collating and analyzing machine data via Power BI, Minitab, etc., and identifying improvement areas to ensure efficient operations
  • Coordinating with a wide variety of teams to report and repair identified defects
  • Collaborating with suppliers on weekly reports, improvements, and actions
  • Working cross-functionally gaining exposure to a wide range of business areas and projects
  • Supporting Quality Group presentations

Additional Responsibilities Unique to this Position

To be successful in this role you will need the following: 

  • Studying towards a degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • Data analysis skills including the use of Microsoft packages, experience with Power BI would be beneficial but not essential as full training would be provided
  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn.
