The Role
Very exciting place to work, especially as I worked in Outsourcing and closely with departments that made new discovery's etc. its always exciting to work at the forefront of development in any industry!
I was immediately made to feel part of the team and was told from day one to think of myself as an employee not a student
Mangers were all very helpful and would always push for me to go on courses, attend lectures, conferences etc
I would say I was flat out everyday for 95% of my placement
Responsibility seems to be earned in this company and if you prove you can work effectively and "get the job done" they are more than happy to give responsibility to you although id like to point out this was done under supervision to begin with and wasn't recklessly delegating tasks!
the Excel training is something that will practically apply to my business degree in my final year and the communication skills I have developed and organizational skills will benefit my life in general I have no doubt!
The Company
Hard working, as soon as I walked in the office I knew that the guys around me were giving their all everyday and I would be expected to do the same, I like that environment though as it builds and bonds the team. This said everyone in my directorate is approachable and more than happy to help and have a laugh whilst we work.
The placement was well structured but ultimately it comes down to the student to be self motivated and speak up if something isn't right or they want to take on more work etc.
Heavily. The company push you to involve yourself in lectures and courses to develop yourself as much as possible

I would love to work here again!
The Culture
The social scene between the other students is purely what you make of it. Personally I opted to involve myself more socially with my department and directorate rather than with the other students but that was just personal choice.
Cambridge is expensive whatever you are paying for!!
Cambridge has good nights out. with 2 universities in Cambridge and a few sixth form colleges there is always something going on.
There were sports teams and events held at the social club along with trips to see west end shows
