The Role
I really enjoyed the support and work I did with pwc, the staff were friendly and made you feel very comfortable.
Everyone was willing to go out of their way to help you!
I had regular meetings with my supervisor and was constantly offered guidance by those more senior than me.
My placement started off quite quiet however as time went by I found myself doing more work and really enjoying it.
PwC trust you a lot and give you a lot of responsibility straight away, sometimes you may feel out of your comfort zone but this is good as it pushes you.
My knowledge about accounts will help my degree a lot, and also evaluating a company significantly assisted my degree.
The Company
People were hard-working, but everyone seemed to know eachother and whenever anyone was stuck there was always someone willing and able to lend a hand.
Due to summer being a quiet season it was sometimes difficult to organise work, however this would always be done ahead of time and there was always something for you to do.
Throughout my insight academy and internship with pwc constant training was given, they ensure you know what you are doing before they put you out on the job.
National Travel
Company Parties/Events
I find out at the end of my internship whether I get a job or not.
The Culture
During training we were placed in Buckinghamshire and pwc organised activities for the night times. We also had training in Leeds and a project in Manchester where we had the opportunity to network in an informal way at the end of the day.
I lived with my parents therefore there wasn't really any cost of living
Newcastle has a great nightlife.
There was always e-mails going round about sports tournaments, charity events and other.
