The Role
I enjoyed the role but at some times did not have enoguht work so had to find extra for my self.
I did not feel particularly valued as there were so many interns (apprx 50) and our jobs were not extreamly important.
I had a manager who was helpful when I asked questions and there were people around who i could ask quesitons but they were always very busy. Some interns had buddys/supervisors but i wasnt given one. Also, the intern who i took over from was not helpfull at all.
Some days i had nothing to do so trued to find work. other times i had too much to do, there was not a good balance.
Not alot, no jobs i did were particularly important and always got checked.
it has given me work experience and feel more confident applying for jobs however it has not helped me with my university studies. i do not have any regrets about placement though.
The Company
very quiet. no socialising, only with other interns.
very well organised bu some departments were better than others. some interns did not have a propper job role. my job role constantly changed.
Training was about Intel and Intel values and products.
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
International Travel
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Working from home
No jobs available in my department as there is no headcount available. otehr departments are a possibility but much more likley to get those jobs if that is where you did your internship.
The Culture
Excellent Intern social life.
High rent. Lots of averaely priced places to eat and drink.
Good night life for interns, cheap but not as cheap as uni - as expected.
If you looked for them your self, i got invloved in charity work and took up golf lessons.
