About You
The insight week was excellent. The week was well organised so that we always knew what we were supposed to be doing in our roles. The atmosphere at the company was excellent as we felt welcomed by the staff, The challenges we were set within the week were useful, as they will help us when applying for graduate jobs within the future. Also we were given a great insight into the company, learning about the different aspects of the business such as the dairy and waters. This was very interesting. Overall, the week was very good. It showed that Danone is an exciting company to work for.
The week was used to prepare us for our roles as Campus Brand Managers over the next year. We were told that these roles were vital as we were responsible for getting people to apply to the companies graduate scheme. Therefore, we felt valued as we were told that we had important roles to fulfill.
We were given lots of guidance throughout the week. The week was well organised so we always knew what we were supposed to be doing. Also when preparing our presentations, a member of the company visited us and answered any questions we had about the business. As well, on the week we received guidance about our roles for the next year as campus brand managers and we were told what this role expects from us.
The information we received from the week was very helpful and it will be very useful when applying for graduate positions in the future. We got a general insight into what a business looks like. Additionally, while completing the week we were given the challenge of preparing a presentation for the company. We received feedback individually on our performance. This process was similar to that of an assessment center on a graduate scheme, so it was practical and valuable.
The Company
The week was very well structured. We were given a clear timetable for the five days we were there, with the agenda for each day. The first days welcomed us to the company, giving us information about the different sectors of the business. This information could then be used to help us prepare our company presentations on the following days. Additionally, information was clearly provided about travel and accommodation for the week.
The atmosphere was excellent over the week. The staff were extremely friendly, they made us feel welcome and gave us all of the information we needed. We were given a great opportunity to learn about the company, whilst also having a fun and entertaining week. Danone seems like a welcoming and exciting place to work.
They gave us valuable information about the company that would be useful. Additionally, having to prepare a presentation was good training as this helped us develop our public speaking skills and learn more about the business. This would also be very helpful when applying for other graduate positions. Therefore, the company invested a lot of time in us and gave us valuable skills.
The week gave us a great insight into what the company would be like to work for. We got to speak to many members who described their work life and told us what their job roles included. Additionally, we had talks throughout the week which told us about the different areas of the company and what these are like to work for. Also we got to attend a company meeting.
It showed us a lot about company culture at Danone. Danone has a clear culture of healthy lifestyle and this could be seen throughout the week as we were given talks on nutrition. We also saw the corporate social responsibility of the company. Additionally, the week showed us that Danone has a friendly and welcoming company culture.
The content of the day was very useful. We were given insight profiles about ourselves, these help you to see how you work as a person and to strengthen your interactions with people. Additionally, we were given talks about the business, this therefore helped us to see which are of the business we thought that we would be best suited to.
Everything Else
We were reimbursed for any expenses throughout the week. Our accommodation was paid for and provided for the week. Also we were reimbursed for any food throughout the week. Our travel expenses were also paid for in the week.
Yes, we got the chance to meet many other employees throughout the week. Firstly, we were invited to the company meeting which other members of staff attending. Additionally many members of staff presented about different aspects of the company. Here we introduced ourselves to them and could ask them an questions. Also we presented a SWAT analysis to company members.
The networking opportunities were good. We were given the chance to meet lots of different people at the company, we were invited to attend the company meeting. Additionally, throughout the week we had presentation from different company members, they gave us an insight into the business and answered any questions we had, such as what was the process like when applying for the graduate scheme.
We were told about the many great activities that employees can get involved in. The friendly atmosphere of Danone is another attractive feature. It appears a very sociable company. Mainly we were told about the company itself and the business.
Yes, the week was very enjoyable. It was a great opportunity to be given an insight into what it is like to work at Danone. I enjoyed the daily activities, such as learning about the business and presenting a SWAT analysis about the company. The staff were welcoming and I thoroughly enjoyed the week and would recommend it.
