The Role
A very friendly place to work. Many young employees so it can be a fun place to work and is a very smooth transition from Uni.
Intel are very good at making formal recognitions when you have done a good job. All finance attend monthly meetings where we congratulate individuals on projects they completed.
Support is always there but you need to be proactive to get it. There is a system where you can have a buddy if you wish.
There is a plenty of work to do. And as you get more efficient over the year you can involve yourself into more projects.
Best thing about the placement= level of responsiblity. Involved in high level meetings making a real contribution.
Developed all round skills. Options to involve in more training or development sessions. Touched on elements of my course but it was more beneficial to work/life skills away from the degree.
The Company
Can be quiet but can also be busy. Depends on the time of the quater.
Well constructed - although after the first few months you don't really feel like an inten.
If you want to taketime during working hours to go on training courses you can.
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Working from home
Plenty of opportunities for movement around the company.
The Culture
Good fun with interns, despite the location.
Cheap but there isn't much to spend your money on.
One club which isn't anything special.
Subsidised golf, football, corporate games. Plus things which arent sport like trips to london for shows.
