The Role
A great taster of what it would be like to work in law. Vacation scheme students were warmly welcomed by employees of all levels who always found time to offer advice or provide help.
Both partners and trainees made a real effort to find worthwhile work for us to do. Despite coming from a non-law background I was made to feel part of the team and could see that my work was contributing to the bigger picture..
The combination of supervisor and buddy allowed for both passive observation and active involvement. Trainees also kept interns up to date with extra-curricular activities firm-wide..
A few quiet patches that were more than made up for by the comprehensive lecture schedule and ongoing research project
Considering a complete lack of experience I could not have asked for (/handled) more..
Provided a much better idea of what to expect from a training contract than the ubiquitous generic shiny brochures
The Company
Varied from department to department but always genuinely friendly..
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
The Culture
It's London.
Bruising..
Charity Run / Weekend CSR event / Lunctime football etc..
