The Role
Loved the people and the work aspect, some aspects of the business left me bored though
I am happy to have been able to help some colleagues even slightly. I haven't seen my colleagues not valuing my work and was left feeling happy with the amount of work I submitted
My manager was too busy to attend all the initially planned meetings, but some other people took over as they had an interest in my work and wanted to see it through
I had a main project and multiple side projects which often left me working for a lot more than 8 hours per day. The internship was organised to keep us doing interesting things, but I believe it overdid it by making us do too much
I was responsible for a project that would influence the workflow of my whole team and felt happy with the amount of responsibility I was given
I had to work with technologies I hadn't used before and that I believe will be very useful in the future as they are industry standard. Also learned a lot about how a company this big gets managed and what its business consists of. Overall I was left happy with the amount of things I learned and their usefulness
The Company
People were calm and friendly. Left with a very good impression of the atmosphere in the office
It was hectic as many projects overlapped, training in the beginning was also unstructured, the internship wasn't very well organised, but still managed to give a good idea of how the company works
They have some general training for presentation skills and economy and such - things that don't directly relate to my field of work. They had some very basic sessions explaining some relevant things to my work, but not enough. The rest consisted of me asking people and reading documents. Some extra training may have been nice
Flexi Time
Company Parties/Events
I would accept a job offer but only for certain jobs. Some, despite being in my field of study, were definitely not appealing to me. Also the formal aspect of the job is a bit old fashioned
The Culture
Yes, has constant conversations with people from my team and others, people with my level of status and higher
It was not the cheapest city, but finding cheap accommodation and food and paying for entertainment wasn't bad. The company paid well
During the summer there are some interesting things happening around festivals and such, but I am more keen on the night life in other cities
As long as you organised them there are tons. Both things in the city and outside in the nature
