The Role
The work was varied and the people were brilliant.
Everyone I worked with valued the work I did and appreciated my time.
IBM gives interns 2 managers. A task manager and a development manager. Combining the 2 I recieved enough support and guidence for a lifetime.
I wasn't always busy - but when I was busy, I was very busy!
I was in a client facing role, something that is almost un heard of for interns.
IBM offers training to all employees in anything they want to develop in.
The Company
Brilliant, the team are interlinked and socalise out of office too. This include events that IBM contributes towards.
The scheme is well organise, however at times I thought things could ahve been run a little smoother.
At the end of the day its cheaper for an intern to do the work than a full time employee. However, they do invest time to develop your skills (even if its only because it also helps them). I think this would be the same in most companies.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Working from home
The organisation takes on less graduates than summer interns... making it hard to get back in.
The Culture
My location had just 2 interns.
Lived with my perernts so pretty cheap! If someone was to rent it would be alot cheaper than London.
Isn't something that really interests me...
Loads including sports, cinema, meals out, ect.
