Web Developer Review

I have enjoyed my placement in all shapes and forms. Working at MMT Digital I had the opportunity to work and deal with real clients and work on a variety of real projects, some that were published in live environment. I was also working as part of a team where I was the main developer, whilst getting a real insight into the industry.

I felt very valued. I was able to work well as part of the team and individually without any problems at all. My opinions and suggestions were both heard and taken into account by other members of the team as well as the product owner. I have also been consulted for suggestions and opinions on how to best implement certain features for a piece of software.

I have always received support when needed. At the very start of my placement I was frequently asked whether I needed any support or help to undertake a certain task. As time went by I required less support and was given more high level work, and the support was available to me whenever I required.

I was always busy at MMT Digital. My main responsibilities were to work through user stories and develop new features, and in many instances correct bugs that are present. As well as working through user stories I had the opportunity to attend various meetings with clients, demo the work that was completed and also help project managers in providing time estimates for new work to be completed.

I was given responsibilities from day one. I was given same level of responsibilities that they would give to any member of staff. I was trusted at work, and I very much enjoyed the responsibilities I was given, including the freedom to deal with the product owner. I was also given the responsibility to demo features and deploy those into different environments.

The training that I received at MMT Digital is invaluable. I was also able to enrich my technical skills and also develop my personal skills. I was constantly learning at MMT Digital, whether dealing with work, clients or member of staff. I am very thankful to MMT Digital for the skills I have developed, as they are already making a huge difference in my day to day life.

The atmosphere at work was very friendly. I enjoyed whole of my placement. The company has a very good culture. We were able to complete work in a good time frame without any pressure from managers. I have also made good friends at work, and this was due their great atmosphere.

My placement was very organised. I started from very low level tasks on first couple of weeks and from there I was given more advanced tasks from which I was able to learn more and more. I also had regular catch ups with my mentor where I was able to highlight any difficulties I encountered and from there actions taken correctly.

I had the opportunity to join internal training sessions. I was also given the flexibility to attend any training outside office. I undertook a exam from where I came out with a certificate. I was always asked what fields I wanted to pay more attention to and what can the organisation do to help me enrich such skills.

I enjoyed working for MMT Digital and if I am given the chance I will definitely return and seek for full-time employment.

MMT Digital has to be the best company to work for. I enjoyed all of the social events. There was weekly pub meals, weekly football, go-karting, paintballing, company anniversary party and there was also the big Christmas Party outside UK. I enjoyed all of the social events at MMT Digital.

Cost of livings weren't that high, however Rutland isn't a party place. Leicester which isn't very far was the option we used to take when socialising.

Rutland isn't a place where you will find multiple options in terms of nightlife, therefore we always chose Leicester instead, which isn't very far. We always tried to organise something in regular basis where most of the colleagues would come out, however there is also a social community responsible for this.

There were plenty of opportunities. There was always a social event on outside of work weekly.
