About You
The variation of what I was doing throughout my two weeks allowed me to not get too bored, however, some of the jobs just weren't for me. Everyone I worked with ensured, as much as they could, that I had something to do at all times and that whatever I was doing was as enjoyable as possible
Everyone there treated me with respect and just acted as if I was one of them. I felt very welcome throughout my stay and everyone was interested to hear what I had to say and what I wanted to do in the future. Also, even though I was on a placement they trusted me to do jobs.
Everyone offered very helpful advice about what I should do in the future and listened to what I had to say. They were also offered great insights into the workings of engines and everything they were working. I felt like I came out of the placement with a lot more knowledge than I went in with.
I am too young to have done any of this.
The Company
The insight was very well organised, I was given an itinerary of what I was doing everyday and they stuck to that itinerary. Everyone I went with knew I was coming and had things planned for me. However, in the morning I often sat in security waiting for upwards of 30 minutes not doing anything and I understand this was due to me coming in early bit it was a bit of annoyance.
The atmosphere around the whole place was very nice and welcoming, everywhere I went I felt welcome and didn't feel like I was annoying anyone. Even people I didn't know greeted me with a friendly hello and although it was work they often seemed in a good mood.
I was only there for two weeks so this does not really apply
A lot of people explained to me what it was like to work full time at the company and this often reflected very positively on the company. Everyone had or made the time to answer every question I had about the company and I always felt they were telling the truth.
For me the content was very useful in helping me to decide what I wanted to go into as a future career as I am looking at a career in engineering. Lots of people gave me advice on future careers and I always found this advice very useful and applicable.
Everything Else
I would definitely recommend this insight to a friend as it was very useful to future careers. I also found it extremely interesting and was not often bored, I also learned a lot while working there and will take this knowledge through me in my future career and through my life.
