The Role
IT Audit is not the most interesting thing to do, but is a very good way of understanding the business and its controls and procedures.
I regularly got feedback and was acknowledged for the work I did.
There are many levels of support available and there was never a time where I felt I was going off course. People were always there to help or talk about anything, formal and informal
There were days where there was not much work available for me. Keeping proactive meant I was always able to find something, even though sometimes it was a bit dull.
I was not given much responsibility as I have not had the same training as others in the business. It would not be fair to place too much responsibility on me. I fely comfortable with the level given.
They will not help me much in the final year, but have developed some good skills which I hope to use if offered a graduate placement.
The Company
People were really pleasant, but knew when to draw the line and get to work!
The graduate recruitment team were very well organised, as far as we saw. They kept us well informed on activities that are going to be taking place. They provided great information during the induction week.
They provided us with some training, but due to the length of the internship training was not as extensive as a graduate would get. I feel the training we were given was sufficient for the tasks we have been doing.

I feel I may get a graduate offer, and if I do I will grab it with both hands!
The Culture
Made a good group of friends who I aim to keep in contact with after the scheme.
Being central london things were a bit expensive. When going out a bit of planning was needed to find student nights.
With leicester square very close to us the night life was buzzing.
There are many opportunities, but a lot is up to you to make the effort. As the internship is for a short period I was not able to join in as many activities as I would have liked.
