The Role
I had a good time on my internship. The team were really good to work with.
Despite being an intern the colleagues still treated us with respect and tried to include us where possible.
My supervisor was very good and spent time making sure I was achieving my goals. Managers were on the whole supportive.
I do not feel I was busy enough. It was difficult as it was obviously summer, so people were away etc. It would have better to have been given more work.
The responsibility grew slightly as the internship progressed.
The skills learned will definitely help with my career going forward. There are many transferrable skills that I will rely upon for my working life, In this sense, it feels like I have gained a head start.
The Company
Everyone got on. There wasn't much in the way of office politics which was good.
There was an extensive plan for what the interns should do. However, this was difficult to keep to due to unforeseen events - illness/holidays/important projects etc.
They invested a lot of time in making sure that I developed some key skills.
This was a brilliant organisation and a brilliant place to work in the future.
The Culture
There were a lot of interns who went out and socialised in the evenings.
It was manageable. You can choose where to socialise so to be cost effective.
There is a lot to do.
There were many sports teams and exercise groups, yes.
