The Role
I had a really productive time, was always busy and surrounded by great people.
Very valued, to the extent that I was being worked very hard! Rarely had to stay beyond 5:30 so wasn't taken advantage of though.
I had both a councillor and 'buddy' so had a lot of career guidance as well as day to day help.
Very, though not overworked.
I had little client interaction but I did a lot of client work which was checked before being sent off.
In my engineering degree, I use very little accountancy but I anticipate that this placement will be hugely helpful in my career, not least because of the job that I was offered.
The Company
Very friendly and positive, everybody was working hard but flexibly and working in a way that suited them.
Extremely well
An awful lot of investment was placed in me, making sure that I could achieve my goals.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
National Travel
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
I fully intend to start a long career with EY, and have been offered a job.
The Culture
Yes, a lot of emphasis was placed on the social side and there was a lot organised.
It was in London so high but I live relatively nearby so I lived at home for free.
London...
There were many sports teams and societies that welcomed interns.
